PDO (polydioxanone) threads are applied to sagging facial skin to tighten and lift. The PDO threads continuously stimulate collagen synthesis under the skin and are absorbed in 4-6 months.
Smooth and lifting threads are used depending on the facial region and skin texture and can last for about 2 years. Smooth solid PDO threads are used for brow lifts, scar/acne reduction, deep lines and wrinkles in the forehead, lip definition, and sagging neck skin. Lifting barbed PDO threads are used as the non-surgical face-lift for the lower third of the face to reduce sagging skin, square face, and "jowls".
